A leading Jaguar model has been recognised as one of the best by a respected German motoring magazine.
A poll of more than 70,000 Auto Bild Sportscars readers concluded that the Jaguar XKR-S was the winner of the Production Sports Car Coupés category.
The five litre supercharged V8 engine held the Jaguar XKR-S to record a speed of 97 kilometres per hour in just 4.2 seconds in testing conducted by the publication.
The Jaguar XKR-S competed against 14 other marques in the category, including fellow German manufacturers Mercedes-Benz and Audi.
"Winning the first prize in a segment dominated by premium German competitors makes us particularly proud", executive director of Jaguar Land Rover Mike Wright said.
"The vote for the XKR-S proves that Jaguar's desire to build powerful but beautiful cars resonates extremely well with those who have a passion for sports and performance cars."
Renowned for its sleek body, comfortable interior and innovative technology, the award cements the Jaguar XKR-S as the choice amongst luxury cars both in Australia and around the world.
